Police are searching for a suspect who robbed a New Bedford convenience store late Wednesday night.

Authorities say a thin black male, about 5 feet 6 inches tall and wearing a hoodie and mask, entered South Beach Market Convenience Store on Brock Avenue at around 9:30 pm and threatened the 24-year-old male clerk with a stun gun.

The suspect cleared the register of all money and fled without harming the clerk.

Police say a similar armed robbery took place in Fairhaven last weekend. They are investigating to determine if there is a connection.

Any information should be reported to Det. Kevin Lawless at (508) 991-6300, extension 79505. To leave an anonymous tip, call (508) 961-4584.
