Elderly driver runs over man working in Easton manhole

A 44-year-old man is recovering at Rhode Island hospital after being run over while working in a manhole at an Easton apartment complex.
72-year-old Suzanne Omansky says she was coming home from the gym around 10:30 on Wednesday when she pulled into her parking space and heard a thud.
"I just didn’t see him. I was pulling in so I was going very slowly only about 5 to 10 miles an hour,” said Omansky.
Omansky got out of her car to find Thomas Hannan on the ground.
"I stopped my car immediately as soon as I knew I had encountered something. I didn’t know it was a man until I got out of my car,” said Omansky. "He was just screaming in pain."
The 72-year-old says she immediately called for an ambulance.
"He was complaining about pain in his chest so that’s probably where he was hurt,” said Omansky.
Hannan works for Septic Preservation in Maine. The Brockton Enterprise reports he was working on a septic drain.
He was med-flighted to Rhode Island Hospital where he is listed in good condition.
OSHA was called in to investigate the accident.
