Man arrested in connection to Providence’s first murder of 2016

An arrest has been made in Providence’s first murder of 2016.
Police arrested 42-year-old Jose Medina, of Newport, on Tuesday.
He is charged fatally stabbing 50-year-old Patrick Douglas on May 9 near Elmwood Avenue and Westfield Street.
Police say the two men may have been arguing over a prostitute.
