It started in a quiet neighborhood in Taunton just after 6:00 Tuesday evening when Arthur Darosa got to his daughter’s soccer practice at a field on Myrick Street.

Then, authorities say he left the field and started driving down the street, hit a parked pick-up truck, and got out of his car, trying to break into homes along the street.

At 6:30 he somehow got inside the home at 270 Myrick St where a mother and daughter were having dinner.

He stabbed both women and ran, continuing down Myrick where he tried to assault multiple people and steal their vehicles.

Then, he got back in his car and took off towards the Silver City Galleria.

At 6:40, he crashed right into the front door of Macy’s,  assaulted 3 women, and headed to Bertucci’s. It was there that he picked up a knife and started stabbing a pregnant waitress.

A customer stepped in to stop the assault and was stabbed in the head.

Then, an off-duty Plymouth County Deputy’s Sheriff, also there having dinner, showed his badge and gave Darosa the chance to surrender, before shooting him in the abdomen, ultimately ending the violent stabbing spree.
