REHOBOTH, MA – Crime tape blocked off the driveway of 21 Cross Street in Rehoboth Thursday evening, after 53–year–old Deborah Armstrong Chased her wife with a shotgun, attempting to shoot her down.

"I was coming home and I just saw four police cars and tape across the street, across where my neighbors are,” neighbor Anne Jarosz told ABC6 News.

Jarosz said she was surprised and never saw anything like this coming."They’ve always been very quiet neighbors. I’ve never had any problems with them."

Police explained that Armstrong and her wife were splitting up, and that Armstrong’s wife came to the house with a friend to grab personal belongings, and load them into a pickup. Armstrong then ran outside, charging at the two women with a shotgun.

Police say Armstrong fired one shot, shattering the truck window. The two women dropped everything and ran down the street, where they eventually called for help.

"She was calling to say that she had been fired at by another lady with a shotgun, and that her and her friend had fled the area, and were running down the road to try and get to safety,” said Sgt. Mark Rossi of the Rehoboth Police Department.

The two women got away unharmed. Armstrong is being held on $100,000 bail, and is charged with two counts of Assault with Intent to Murder.
