Presidential candidates to rally in RI this weekend

Governor John Kasich, Senator Bernie Sanders, and Hillary Clinton are scheduled to make a campaign stop in the Ocean State, just ahead of the presidential primary.

Gov. Kasich will be the first one to make an appearance this weekend. The Republican candidate will have his rally at the George E. Bello Center for Information and Technology at Bryant University, Saturday. Doors open at 10 a.m.

Last week, former President Bill Clinton also visited Rhode Island. Today, his wife and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton will be at the Central Falls High School for her campaign. The event will open at 2:30 p.m.

The Sanders campaign is expecting a large crowd at Roger Williams Park Sunday. Senator Bernie Sanders will hold his rally at the Temple of Music inside the Park. The rally entitled “A Future to Believe in Providence”, will be open to the public at 9 a.m.

Republican candidates Donald Trump and Ted Cruz have not confirmed any scheduled visits to Rhode Island.

Rhode Island, Connecticut, Delaware, Maryland, and Pennsylvania are holding primaries on Tuesday.
