Governor for a Day in RI

Providence. RI- Sophia R. Miranda was sworn in by RI Supreme Court Justice Maureen McKenna Goldberg this morning as Governor for a Day in RI. Governor Gina M. Raimondo joined Secretary of State Nellie Gorbea in welcoming Miranda to the State House for the ceremony.
Governor for a Day Miranda wrote the winning essay for this year’s Women’s History Month Essay Contest.
The Governor for a Day joined Governor Raimondo for her public schedule, which included a vessel christening ceremony in North Kingstown, a visit to an adult education in Providence and a meeting with the other state officials.
