RIDEM’s K9 Grizzly gets bullet/stab proof vest through non-profit donation

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) – The Rhode Island Department of Environmental Management’s K9 Grizzly has been gifted a bullet proof and stab proof vest thanks to a generous, local donation!

K9 Grizzly’s vest was donated by Vested Interest in K9s, sponsored by Judith and David Cataldi of North Scituate. The vest is embroidered with the sentiment, “Honoring those who served and sacrificed.”

Vested Interest in K9s is a non-profit charity whose mission is to provide protective gear and other assistance to dogs of law enforcement and related agencies throughout the country.

The charity was established in 2009 and has since provided 4,481 vests to K9’s in all 50 states.
