Providence police confirm shooting outside Pleasant Valley Parkway IHOP

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE)- Commander Thomas Verdi of the Providence Police has confirmed a shooting took place at the IHOP on Pleasant Valley Parkway.

According to police, officers responded at 12:32 p.m. after being flagged down while on patrol by a female in front of IHOP for shots fired.

They observed a 25-year-old man sitting on the sidewalk claiming his leg had been broken and four males shot at him from a black colored vehicle.

Police spoke to the caller of police and witness who said she was in her vehicle when she heard two or three shots fired before seeing a black vehicle flee towards the RI Blood Center exit.

The plates of the suspects black sedan victim were matched to a stolen vehicle.
