1 man hospitalized after East Providence shooting

EAST PROVIDENCE, R.I. (AP) _ East Providence police are investigating a shooting that sent one man to the hospital.

The shooting at about midnight Friday occurred at a home on Dodge Street across the street from a playground.

The victim was taken to Rhode Island Hospital. Police could not immediately disclose the extent of his injuries.

His name was not made public.

There was no word on arrests as of Friday morning.
