Crews respond to heavy fire at Westerly home

WESTERLY, R.I. (WLNE) – Fire crews responded to a structure fire on Canal St. in Westerly early Thursday morning.

The Westerly Fire Department says it was a heavy fire but was able to be brought under control in about 30 minutes.

There were no reported injuries to the occupants of the home.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
