Elderly woman assaulted in home invasion, police search for suspects

North Smithfield Police are looking for four suspect who they say broke into an elderly woman’s home and assaulted her.

Police say at around 8:30 a.m. Friday, four individuals dressed in dark clothes and wearing masks entered the 80-year-old woman’s residence and assaulted her. They then fled on foot.

The woman was taken to Landmark Medical Center with minor injuries.
