Police: Several hospitalized after 3-car crash in Woonsocket

WOONSOCKET, R.I. (AP) _ Police say a crash involving three cars in Woonsocket left at least five people injured.
It happened at about 3 p.m. Sunday on Route 99. Police say a car pulled over with a flat tire and another car stopped to assist. A third car then crashed into the second car.
Police say three people were taken to Landmark Medical Center and two were taken to Rhode Island Hospital with injuries that aren’t considered life-threatening.
Two others sought medical treatment on their own. One person refused treatment at the scene. Authorities didn’t immediately identify the victims.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
