Newport Mansions to require proof of COVID-19 vaccination

NEWPORT, R.I. (WLNE)- Newport Mansions will require proof of COVID-19 vaccination, starting Monday.

All visitors to the Newport Mansions, ages 5 and older, are to provide proof of vaccination before entrance.

Beginning January 15, all those eligible, will required to show proof of a COVID booster shot to enter the mansions.

The Preservation Society will still require mask indoors, along with the new vaccine policy.

This policy will extend to employees and others who work on Preservation Society properties.

“We continue to monitor the latest developments regarding COVID, and we intend to be flexible and responsive to evolving conditions,” Preservation Society CEO Trudy Coxe said Tuesday. “Our goal, first and foremost, is to help protect the health of our visitors and our staff. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation.”
