PROVIDENCE, R.I. (AP) _ City police are searching for three teenagers accused of attacking a group of men with brass knuckles and a kitchen knife in the city’s Silver Lake neighborhood.
The Providence Journal reports that the men were approached on the street just before 8 p.m. Saturday by two teenage boys and a teenage girl.
Police say one of the teenage boys hit 18-year-old Dimitri Narvaz in the head with brass knuckles. The other teenage boy pulled out a kitchen knife and stabbed 18-year-old Ellery Costa, whose hand was cut while blocking the knife. A third man, Edward Martinez, was uninjured.
Police say the suspects fled the scene.
Costa and Narvaz were taken to Rhode Island Hospital. Their conditions weren’t immediately known.
The incident remains under investigation.
