Fall River Police investigating Friday night shooting

FALL RIVER, MASS (WLNE) – The Fall River Police Department is currently investigating a shooting from Friday night.
Police detectives say at approximately 10:30 p.m, the victim, identified as a 48-year-old man was found outside 159 Cherry Street with a gunshot wound to his groin which exited through his right leg.
The victim was described as uncooperative at the scene but told police a black man in a black vehicle shot him during an apparent “drive-by.”
According to the department, the victim was transported to Rhode Island Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
