URI to sell beer and wine at basketball games during ‘trial period’

KINGSTON, R.I. (WLNE)- The University of Rhode Island will be selling beer and wine at concession stands during basketball games during a “trial period.”
An email was sent to season ticket holders letting them know about the change on Friday.
Fans at the Ryan Center will be able to bring drinks to their seats during games.
Each fan will only be allowed a maximum of two drinks per purchase.
The beer and wine service will stop at the beginning of the second half of each game.
