New Bedford Police have made an arrest in connection to a home break in on Gould Street.

An investigation showed that the suspect entered through a basement window while the homeowner was away. The suspect stole a variety of electronic devices, as well as jewelry, police say.

The suspect, 32-year-old Nathaniel Almeida, had done home improvement work at the house before. A search of his apartment on Saturday morning recovered a large amount of jewelry. Currently, detectives are trying to find the rightful owners.

Almeida is scheduled to be arraigned Tuesday morning on charges of breaking and entering, and larceny.
