Convicted Fall River Mayor’s prison date pushed back third time

FALL RIVER, MASS. (WLNE)- In an order Wednesday, Judge Douglas P. Woodlock pushed back a convicted Fall River Mayor’s prison date for a third time.

Jasiel Correia was scheduled to report to prison Monday, but has since been moved to January 28.

Correia faces 11 charges of fraud and corruption.

Attorneys have filed an appeal of those 11 remaining charges.

The judge noted a surge in COVID-19 infections in the order, and pending appeal by Correia.
