Canton girl dies after being pinned by falling tree

A 6-year-old girl has died after a tree fell on top of her in Canton, Massachusetts, Friday afternoon.

Police say the accident happened around 2 p.m. in the back yard of the girl’s Indian Lane home.

The victim, identified as Kaleigh Kenyon, was pinned by the fallen tree before she was removed by a neighbor, who was performing CPR when emergency crews arrived.

Police say the tree fell between 30-35 feet before landing on Kaleigh. She was rushed to the hospital where she died.

No other information has been released.
