Report: Massachusetts “smartest state” in the country

Massachusetts was ranked the “smartest state” in the country.
Career site Zippia.com used the latest census to figure out the states with the highest percentage of college degrees and lowest high school dropout rates.
The Northeast dominated most of the top ten, and Massachusetts took the number one spot, with 40% of adults holding a bachelor’s degree or higher, and only a 3% high school dropout rate.
Rhode Island was tied for 11th place, with 31.4% of adults holding a bachelor’s degree or higher and a 4% dropout rate.
