Police search for armed robbery suspect in New Bedford

Police in New Bedford are looking for a suspect in an armed robbery Saturday evening.

Police say they responded to the incident at the 7-11 on Cove Road at around 11 p.m.

The suspect entered the store demanding cash and showed the clerk a sliver firearm. He ran off with an undisclosed amount of money.

Police say the suspect is described as a dark skinned male wearing a black coat, black mask, black pants, and black hat.
