A group of die hard Patriots fans have created the ultimate game day experience on wheels.
"We haven’t washed it since before the season started,” said one of the owners Bruce MacInnis.
We asked, “Is that a good luck thing?”
“Yeah we just don’t mess with it you know,” he said.
An old school bus has been completely transformed into a tailgater’s paradise all thanks to Bruce MacInnis and his friends.
"We’ve got stereo, interior and exterior speakers, we’re HDTV capable, we’ve got a big huge grill we put on the back for when we go tailgating,” MacInnis said.
MacInnis, a longtime Patriots supporter and season ticket holder, has stood by the team through thick and thin.
"Back in the day, ’70s and ’80s it was a rough ride. I remember, everybody remembers, the 1-15 season,” he said.
But in 2009, he took his fandom to another level when his friend saw a beat up school bus for sale.
"One of the guys Bill came along to try and talk us out of it and he abandoned that plan shortly after arriving and we ended up buying it,” said MacInnis.
And the rest is history. MacInnis and his crew pile up in the bus every Sunday for the ultimate tailgating experience.
"It’s been to every Patriots game. Every home Patriots game,” he said.
And at least once a season, they take it on a road trip.
"We’ve been to Cleveland, Buffalo three times, Charlotte once,” MacInnis said.
When it comes to the ride, it’s all in the details. For example, the doors have white marks on them that mean “BB” in Morse code, representing Bill Belichick.
"It’s very functional if not very pretty and we love it,” MacInnis said.
The bus or its owners won’t be making the long trip out to Denver. But they’re hoping to see one thing at the end of the season.
"I want to see Roger Goodell have to hand that trophy to Bob Kraft,” said MacInnis.
