Suspect arrested in Fall River armed robbery

The suspect caught on camera attacking a business owner in an armed robbery in Fall River was arrested Monday.
36-year-old Jose Tirado-Sanchez was taken into custody after police noticed he fit the physical and clothing description of the robbery suspect while they were on an unrelated call on Stanley Street.
Tirado-Sanchez is charged with armed robbery while masked, armed assault to murder, two counts of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, and vandalized property.
The robbery happened on Sunday at around 10:00 a.m. at Jarek’s Market on Fifth Street.
Surveillance video shows Tirado-Sanchez jumping onto the counter and swinging a large knife while demanding money. The owner then arms himself with a knife and fights back before Tirado-Sanchez flees the scene.
