A Westerly man charged with murder in a 25 year old cold case was arraigned morning Friday.
David Roscoe was arrested in November after DNA evidence linked him to the 1990 murder of 85-year-old Germaine Mouchon.
Her body was found by her grandson in her West Warwick apartment in August of that year.
Police reopened the case last summer after inquiries from that same grandson.
Investigators were able to test DNA evidence they couldn’t before and found a match in the system.
Roscoe plead not guilty to charges of sexual assault and murder and was ordered to be held without bail pending a hearing.
