Coventry Police search for owner of malnourished pit bull

Coventry Animal Control Officers are searching for the owner of a malnourished dog found wandering the town.

Officers located the black and white female pit bull mix Wednesday on Fish Hill Road. She was wearing a black nylon collar and a flea collar, and appeared to be severely malnourished.

She was taken to a local Animal Hospital for evaluation and is currently in the care of the Animal Control Division, which is working to nurse her back to health and a normal weight.
