WAREHAM, MASS. (WLNE)-

Wareham Fire Department responded to Wareham Water Pollution Control Facility at 7:19 a.m.  on Tuesday for a construction worker than had fallen more than 20 feet below ground in a construction pit area.

The victim, a foreman on the job site, had been found semi-conscious by construction workers with injuries to his head, face and legs. The worker was secured on a stretcher, which was then fastened to the end Tower 1 with rescue rope.

Once brought to ground level, several Wareham firefighters assisted in getting him further care from Wareham EMS.
