‘Tis the season to be jolly, but small business owner Jim Rimoshytus of Warren isn’t feeling all warm inside after a recent sale became hectic and rushed.
“It’s Christmas time and I’m feeling kind of Grinchy about the way it went down, so I don’t like it,” said Rimoshytus.
Rimoshytus was selling his product, ‘Furrfighters,’ a glove that removes pet fur, at the Bristol holiday fair last week. A young couple caught him as he was leaving.
“I spilled my coffee on the floor. The elevator started beeping. She’s standing there with a sad look. I’m rushed. Now I’m wiping up the floor and she’s waiting for her gloves,” sighed Rimoshytus.
Now, Rimoshytus is trying everything he can think of to track down the woman, so he can give her a Christmas present and apologize.
“I put Face Book ads out, Twitter looking for her. I can’t find her,” he explained.
Rimoshytus’ guilty conscience led him to extreme lengths, including reaching out to ABC6 News to track her down. His wife or more than 20 years, Melissa, is helping in the search.
“I’m proud of him for pursing it. Nowadays people would probably just be like aw well– they got their gloves. They’re all set. They’ll be fine. Hopefully they’ll like them and that’s the end of that. So I think this is a good thing that he’s doing to find these people,” she said.
The customers they are looking for bought a teal pair of gloves. The man had glasses and was wearing a red jacket. The woman had brown curly hair and a green coat.
“I just want to apologize and say I didn’t think it ended right. I don’t think she had any problems with it, but I do. And I just want to fix it,” said Rimoshytus.
