One arrested following foot chase in Providence

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE)- A man was arrested in Providence on Wednesday afternoon, after running from Providence and Rhode Island State Police.

Police saw the a vehicle erratically near Memorial Boulevard and Canal Street around 3 p.m.

Officers followed the vehicle from afar.

The vehicle stopped near the Rhode Island Department of Health and multiple suspects got out of the car and ran.

One man was apprehended at the scene.

The ongoing investigation is being handled by State Police.
