San Bernardino gunman linked to man who bought rifles

Officials and public records indicate there was a deeper connection between the gunman in the San Bernardino massacre and the friend who bought the assault rifles used in the shooting.

Syed Rizwan Farook and Enrique Marquez were related through marriage and may have plotted an attack together three years ago.

Senator Jim Risch says the pair shelved their plan in 2012 because of law enforcement activity and arrests.

The Idaho Republican sits on the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence.
