Traffic changes coming to downtown Providence

Get ready for a new traffic pattern in downtown Providence.
Now that Phase 3 of the downtown improvement project is near completion, traffic will become two-way on multiple streets in the area.
The second half of Exchange Terrace, and Dorrance Street from Fountain Street to Washington Street, will welcome two-way traffic beginning Friday, December 4.
Signs will be up to indicate the new pattern, which is designed to help traffic flow more freely and create more space for bikers and pedestrians.
