Police release photos of suspect vehicle in fatal hit-and- run

Providence Police are searching for the driver of a vehicle involved in a hit-and-run that killed a grandmother and injured her granddaughter on November 29th.
Officials released surveillance photos of the vehicle in question Wednesday afternoon, which is described as a newer model, dark-colored SUV with possible hood and grill damage.
74-year-old Theresa Fernandez was struck and killed around 5 p.m. Sunday as she was crossing Broadway Street in Providence. The suspect fled the scene.
Police are asking that anyone with information, including auto body shop owners/employees, regarding the suspect or vehicle in question, is asked to contact Officer Joseph Amoroso of the Traffic Bureau at (401) 243-6293.
