Gas prices down a penny in Rhode Island, to average $2.16

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (AP) _ Gas prices have ticked down a penny in Rhode Island, to an average $2.16 for a gallon of regular unleaded.
AAA Northeast says its survey on Monday found the average price in Rhode Island was the same as the national average of $2.16 per gallon.
A year ago at this time, the price was $2.98 per gallon, 82 cents per gallon higher.
Prices have fallen four cents per gallon in the past month.
