South Kingstown man indicted on charges of child pornography

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE)- U.S. Attorney Zachary A. Cunha announced that a federal grand jury on Wednesday returned a three-count indictment charging a South Kingstown man with possessing and distributing child pornography.
William Schock, 27, is charged with two counts of distribution of child pornography and one count of possession of child pornography.
Shock downloaded a social media app, sharing explicit photos and storing video files of child pornography.
In May 2020, Homeland Security Investigation agents found an IP address used to upload child pornography photos that was tracked to Schock’s home, according to court documents.
Agents were assisted by Rhode Island State Police and the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force, authorizing a search of Schock’s home and his cell phone which revealed the explicit videos and images.
