Man robs woman at gunpoint in New Bedford

Police in New Bedford are asking for the publics help after a Dartmouth woman was robbed at gunpoint early Friday morning.

According to police,  at around 1:30 a.m. the 24-year-old woman was waiting for friend on Commercial Street after leaving  local establishment when a man approached, brandished a black gun, and demanded cash.

The suspect then took the cash and left the scene on foot.

The suspect is described as a Hispanic male approximately 5’8" to 5’11", muscular build, wearing a red hooded sweatshirt pulled over his face, gray sweatpants, and white sneakers.
