More changes are on the way for the Pawtucket Red Sox as one of the pillars of the organization is leaving at the end of the season.
Vice President and general manager, Lou Schwechheimer, is moving on after 37 years with the PawSox. Schwechheimer started as an intern back in 1979 and worked his way up into the role of vice president and general manager starting in 1986.
Lou had promised new owner, the late Jim Skeffington, that he’d stick around this year to help with the transition to the new ownership group. Now, he’s moving on.
