Lots of support for Warwick North

The Warwick North girl’s softball team lost to North Carolina Wednesday night in the Little League World Series 4-2.
But, despite the outcome fans tell us they are incredibly proud of their team.
Hundreds packed into Dave’s Bar and Grill to watch the game. Many fans telling us they are incredibly proud of how the girl’s played.
"It’s so amazing from Warwick Rhode Island you never hear anything about us but for them to be playing in the championship game in the World Series that’s just phenomenal,” said Shannon Fitz-Simon a former little league player.
"It’s awesome I’m really excited for the girls lets go get the world championship,” said Kenny Rix a little league player.
"They’re in the World Series and win or lose they are one of the best teams in the world,” said Sean Gallagher a little league player.
Several family members of players who couldn’t be in Oregon also watched from Dave’s.
"They have been trying to get this far for a long time so this is a dream for them,” said Carrie Benoit.
Even the mayor coming out to show his support.
"I think it’s giving the whole state a reason to be really proud,” said Mayor Scott Avedisian.
