2nd suspect arrested for the murder of an Army war vet

A second suspect was arrested on Friday in connection to the murder of Afghan War Veteran Colby Mendonca, 26, that occurred July 11th at 553 Elmwood Ave. 

26 year old Jose Rodriguez, of Providence was arrested on August 14th after Providence police investigated further into the homicide.

Police located Rodriguez in a closet on 264 O'Connor Street.

Rodriguez was held at Police headquarters and was scheduled to appear in 6th District Court. 

Erico Montalvo was the first of the two to be arrested. He was charged with murder back in July.
