Police: Massachusetts man molested girl in Rhode Island

A 47-year-old Massachusetts man has charged with molesting a girl in Rhode Island multiple times over a span of three years.

Hubert Joseph, of Fall River, Massachusetts, was arrested at his home Wednesday on a warrant obtained by police in East Providence, Rhode Island. He was to be arraigned in court Thursday in Fall River on several counts of first-degree child molestation and one count of second-degree child molestation.

Authorities say police in Warren, Rhode Island, investigated Joseph and determined he had molested a girl in East Providence. Police say the girl told her mother that Joseph had molested over a three-year period.

Joseph's response to the allegations isn't known. He's detained and it's not clear if he has a lawyer who could comment to the charges.
