A Warwick family was chosen to get a 50,000 dollar makeover on their backyard.
President of Tscape Landscaping, Tom Fullen, has tackled plenty of these patio projects through the years, but he says there's something special about this one.
Fullen said, "We give a hundred percent in every job, but here it just means a little extra."
That's because Fullen is doing the entire project, for free. He says it's the least he can do after hearing the Foster family's heartbreaking story. Their son JJ was born with half a heart, and while he loves to play outside, he's spent most of his short two years of life in and out of hospitals. JJ has already had five open heart surgeries.
'It feels good that the company is in the position where we can do this and that I can afford to do this. I feel fortunate that we can do this for this family," explained Fullen.
It may be hard to imagine now, but in a few short days, the big plot of dirt will be a relaxing escape for the Foster's to spend time together. A thousand square foot patio with a grill island and plenty of seating.
Fullen and his team are anxious to get to work, knowing the reward will be well worth it.
"That will be my paycheck, my company's paycheck for the project, will be the look on their faces when were done," smiled Fullen.
