Gas prices fall 2 cents to average $2.71 per gallon in RI

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (AP) _ The price of a gallon of gas continues to fall in Rhode Island.
AAA Northeast says its weekly survey released Monday found the average price of a gallon of regular fell 2 cents to $2.71. That's the same as the national average.
A year ago at this time, gas cost 93 cents more per gallon in Rhode Island, an average $3.64, or 34 percent higher than now.
AAA says the price of gas has fallen 7 cents per gallon on average since last month.
