Hendricken, Cumberland, Tolman Baseball Earn Playoff Wins, Coventry, North Smithfield Softball Advance In Playoffs

The Hendricken Hawks advancing to the Division I Championship series, beating Moses Brown, 2-0, Saturday night to advance to McCoy.
Hendricken will play the winner of Sunday’s Game 3 between Lincoln & Cumberland. The Clippers beating the Lions in Game 2 Saturday, 9-5, to force a deciding game.
In Division II, Tolman earning its trip to McCoy Saturday, beating West Warwick, 10-0. The Tigers will play Mount St. Charles for the D-II title starting Tuesday at 3:30 PM.
In the softball brackets Saturday, Coventry beating LaSalle, 12-5, to advance to the championship round. The Oakers will play North Kingstown tomorrow at 3:00 PM. If the Skippers win, they’ll be crowned champions.
North Smithfield taking down Davies Saturday, 4-2, in Division II action. The Northmen next play North Providence Sunday at 1:00 PM, with a D-II title round spot up for grabs.
