The Park Ave. bridge has reopened, exactly 4 weeks after it closed.

RIDOT closed the bridge June 23 to make emergency repairs.

RIDOT says the repairs are only a temporary fix, and that it will remain structurally deficient until permanent repairs can be made.

17,000 vehicles a day drive over the bridge, which carries Park Ave. over the Amtrak Northeast Corridor. It reopens with a 16-ton weight limit.
