Two RI icons give back to the community

It was a hot day Thursday, but hundreds of people in Providence stayed cool with their free “Awful Awfuls.”

Big Blue Bug Solutions and Newport Creamery decided to team up and have their own ice cream party for the city. Both say they want to give back to the community that has been so good to them.

“I think it’s phenomenal. I think it’s great. It’s good for everybody. You look at the smiles. It’s taking two great icons of Rhode Island and putting them together. It’s been a really wonderful experience,” said Stephan Goldman, President of Big Blue Bug Solutions.

This is just the beginning, as Big Blue Bug says they’re looking year-round for opportunities to bring the community together.
