Two RI hotels top Travel + Leisure’s list of world’s best

Two Rhode Island hotels have been named some of the best in the world.

Travel + Leisure just released its list of ‘The Top 100 Hotels in the World’, and Rhode Island had two contenders in the Top 20.

Coming in at #18 is Newport’s Chanler at Cliff Walk. Some of the features highlighted in the description are the hotel’s heated bathroom floors, wet bars, and antique prints and paintings, as well as its restaurant, Spiced Pear.  

Landing at #19 is The Ocean House in Watch Hill, home to expansive decks and croquet lawns, plus 49 guest rooms and 39 suites with over-sized soaking tubs and marble tiles.

Only 5 other hotels in the country made the Top 20!
