Missing woman in Charlestown found safe

A 22-year-old woman who has been missing in Charlestown since Thursday has been found safe.

Mariah Manning of Lisbon, CT, walked out of the woods on Old Mill Road at around 9:45 a.m.. found a police officer and asked for a ride. 

Manning went missing around 3:20 Thursday afternoon. Police deployed 7 search teams, using all-terrain type vehicles to search the area near Indian Church Road.

Police say she went missing after having an argument with her mother. She was visiting family who live on the Narragansett Indian Tribal property.

Manning was taken to South County Hospital to be evaluated.
