Providence police investigating after pharmacy robbed on Wednesday afternoon

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE)- The Providence Police are investigating the robbery of AJ’s Pharmacy that happened Wednesday afternoon.

An adult male with a large build entered the pharmacy at 2:21 p.m. with a handgun, stealing $1,000 in medicine and another $200 from the safe he forced the pharmacist to open.

At this time no one has been arrested, the suspect fled toward Eaton Street and Meridian Street.

No injuries were reported from the scene.
