Commission on reducing women’s incarceration to meet with Department of Corrections Officer Thursday

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) – The Special Legislation Commission to Study Justice Reinvestment Proposals and Provide Recommendations for Reducing the Incarceration of Women will meet virtually this Thursday for a presentation from the Director of the Department of Corrections.

The meeting will be held February 10, from 2:00-4:00 p.m. via WebEx. It’ll be live streamed on the RI Legislature Website, and televised by Capitol Television, which can be found on Cox Channels 15 and 61, on Full Channel on channel 15, and Verizon on channel 34.

There will be an overview on incarcerated women in Rhode Island by the Department of Corrections Director Patricia Coyne-Fague, a member of the commission.
