Former Fall River Mayor’s prison date pushed back once again

FALL RIVER, MASS. (WLNE)- Former Fall River Mayor Jasiel Correia gets an extension on his prison date once again.

Correia’s new date to report to prison is March 4, says a spokesperson for U.S. District Court Judge Douglas P. Woodlock.

The former mayor was found guilty on federal fraud and corruption charges.

Correia was originally set to report to prison December 3, but has been pushed back four times now.
