Severe Thunderstorm Watch Issued

A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH HAS BEEN ISSUED FOR MOST OF THE AREA FROM NOW UNTIL 4PM.
Activity will kick up this afternoon as cold front to our north and west pushes into the region, bringing with it the potential for strong to severe thunderstorms. Large hail, damaging winds, heavy downpours, and even the slight chance of an isolated tornado (especially to the northwest) are the main threats. The overall intensity of the storms this afternoon will depend on the amount of sunshine received during the day today, but right now everything is in order for an active afternoon.
Behind this strong front high pressure builds in for Wednesday and Thursday, bringing back-to-back nice days with mostly sunny conditions and high temperatures in the low 80s. The air will be more comfortable as well.
